Okay Snobaby I got some glitters up, so how to you get them to do what they are supposed to do? I know there is movement in these so how do we get it right?
Okay the one of Belle is for Noelie, and here is one for Cindy. :) Posted by Picasa
Okay I've been trying to post images again, and once more I can't get the blogger tool to work on my 'puter. don't know if i have other popup blockers on, but everything I try doesn't work. Posted by Picasa

Drama, drama, drama

Okay here is the latest. Shan is nagging me to get this letter written. He even threatened me, if I was not nice in the letter that he would write a nasty one when it is my turn to get married. Maybe I should get exed... then rejoin the church then I will be cleaned up from him. Whatcha thinking about that. LOL... Whatever!!!

I am trying to move on, and not let this get to me, so I ask for a huge favor!! I need prayers. I can't seem to get mine past the ceiling.

Shan told me that he received a revelation to divorce me, then to get married to Ruthanna's niece. I don't understand that, but how can I possibly compete with his revelations?

I did research on revelations and I did not think that God would tell someone to break up a family unless there was adultery or abuse.. hmmmm? Did I do either?

I was not perfect in my marriage, I know that and I pray for forgiveness daily.

I am worth $1,138,444 on HumanForSale.com
Oh, I only could guess at some of the questions, like not knowing my IQ, or what my SAT score was since I only took the ACT, and I can't get to answer the score on My jury or what ever that was, so who knows what I could really be. LOL

What Lovely Disney Lady Are You???

Image hosting by PhotobucketTinkerbellImage hosting by Photobucket

Tinkerbell, you are a spunky, free spirited soul.
While fun is practically your middle name, you
are quite capable of crashing the party with
your quick temper. You blame jealousy on just
being protective. Still, you're cute and
lively, making you quite the catch!

Which Lovely Disney Lady are You?

Take the quiz guys and let us all know who you are :)

HERO'S

Okay sisters mine, lets have a running discussion on our favorite movie or literary hero's.

Tiger and I were talking of Lynn Kurland and I mentioned her darling grouse of an Scottish Laird, but I know one that I see even closer to my ideal! His cousin Ian! I love how confident an amusingly cocky this man is, and I love his ability to finally see past the outside package of a woman and truly appreciate her. He has all he calm authority of Jamie without taking himself to seriously, and I see him choosing to do what he feels is right even if all around him tell him otherwise.

I love Mathias in Katherine Kurtz's Deryni series. I picture Tall, dark, handsome (picture Oded Fehr! :-) ) , He also appears as a man poised to choose he right in the face of adversity.

So girls...who else is amazing?

Pure fun!

I believe we should use this space in part for the sharing of totally fun, I-love-being-a-girl kinda stuff.

So let me begin: It will be no surprise that I am a lotion addict. It is my favorite personal care item, and I ADORE the scent of "Strawberries and Champagne." I have found that the nice thing about lotion as a scent, is that it doesn't overpower, but I still get told at least once a day I smell good by my co-workers that I end up getting close to so I can talk to them and not have everyone else nearby hear everything about their monitor scores.

I am hoping for some rose scented stuff from Avon :-)

I KNOW the snobaybe and Cindy must have some other good ideas on how to pamper ourselves!

Girls Are Like Apples

Girls
are like apples
on trees. The best ones
are at the top of the tree.
The boys don't want to reach
for the good ones because they
are afraid of falling and getting hurt.
Instead, they just get the rotten apples
from the ground that aren't as good,
but easy. So the apples at the top think
something is wrong with them, when in
reality, they're amazing. They just
have to wait for the right boy to
come along, the one who's
brave enough to
climb all
the way
to the top
of the tree.

The Loony sister in law

I wanted you all to know that Tigersue was not and has never been "beat up" by my darling brother-in-law, Michael. Nor are her children acting out, and we sisters did not decide to do a remake of the Alexis/Krystle fights

For several years Tigersue has had to deal with the borderline personality disorder antics of one of her Sisters-in-law This person offends at every turn, while becoming offended at sincere suggestions of help. The latest was when my sister told this harpy a possible avenue of treatment for some reproductive issues this immature twit has. Instead of taking the help as it was meant she got offended, because becoming a martyr is what this person lives for.

The story goes on from there. After becoming out of line and abusive on Tigersue's blog, she sent a smarmy apology (smarmy because of her following actions) asking Tigersue to delete her comments. Tigersue GRACIOUSLY consented at which point this Witch- with- a- B, if you know what I mean, began ripping Tigersue apart on her blog. Hypocrite.

I just spoke with Tigersue, and she is doing well, despite the PPD she is having to deal with, thank goodness, or the sister in law who's name starts with a K and is ****NOT****** Karen would have to deal with me a great deal further than this post ( just to be very clear: Sandy, Karen and Tea are all Tigers sisters in law and **THEY** are adorable.)

Thanks for letting me sound off!
Well sisters I have been beat up again. So sorry if I haven't been myself lately. Thanks for being my sisters I don't know what I would do if you weren't here.

This is purely evil... yummmmm

Teatime Coconut Layer Cake

Serves 10 to 12

Vegetable-oil cooking spray

3 1/3
cups sifted cake flour (not self-rising)

2 1/4
cups superfine sugar

3/4
teaspoon baking soda

Salt

3/4
cup vegetable oil

11
large eggs, separated, plus 3 egg whites

1
teaspoon pure vanilla extract

3/4
cup granulated sugar

1/4
cup cream of coconut (available at Whole Foods Market, www.wholefoods.com)

Coconut Meringue Buttercream

1
cup sweetened flaked coconut

2/3
cup unsweetened coconut shavings, for garnish

1. Preheat oven to 325°. Coat three 9-by-2-inch round cake pans with cooking spray; line with parchment paper. Set aside.

2. Sift flour, 1 3/4 cups superfine sugar, the baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt into the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Whisk together 3/4 cup water, the vegetable oil, egg yolks, and vanilla in another bowl. Add yolk mixture to flour mixture; mix on medium-high speed until smooth, about 2 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl; set aside.

3. Put egg whites and a pinch of salt into the clean bowl of the mixer fitted with the whisk attachment; beat on medium speed until foamy. Raise speed to medium-high; beat until soft peaks form. Gradually add remaining 1/2 cup superfine sugar; beat until stiff, glossy peaks form.

4. Fold one-quarter of egg-white mixture into batter with a rubber spatula. Fold in remaining egg-white mixture in 2 batches. Divide batter evenly among prepared pans. Bake until cakes are golden brown and spring back when pressed, 30 to 35 minutes. Invert cakes onto wire racks to cool; remove parchment.

5. Bring 1 cup water, the granulated sugar, a pinch of salt, and the cream of coconut to a boil in a small saucepan, stirring occasionally. Boil 1 minute; let stand.

6. Trim cakes level. Place 1 cake on a serving plate, and brush with 1/3 cup coconut syrup. Spread with 1 cup buttercream, and sprinkle with 1/3 cup sweetened coconut. Top with another cake. Brush with 1/3 cup syrup; spread with 1 cup buttercream, and sprinkle with 1/3 cup sweetened coconut. Top with final cake; brush with remaining 1/3 cup syrup. Refrigerate until firm.

7. Spread 1 1/4 cups buttercream over top and sides of cake. Refrigerate until buttercream is firm, about 30 minutes.

8. Spread 1 1/2 cups buttercream over top and sides of cake. Refrigerate until buttercream is very firm, at least 1 hour. Fill a pastry bag fitted with a 1-inch basketweave tip (such as Ateco #898) with buttercream. Holding bag perpendicular to cake, pipe sides in a back-and-forth motion, starting at bottom. Refill bag as needed. Sprinkle top with remaining 1/3 cup sweetened coconut and the unsweetened coconut shavings. Cake can be refrigerated up to 2 days; let stand at room temperature 20 minutes before serving.

one year

Hello everyone, this is the other sister. Not sure what to write.. but here goes..

I will say it in one full sentence, and please forgive me of my feelings. I have never thought in a million years I would have this kind of feeling towards someone in my life. I honestly can say I hate Shanen Leon Lloyd. Yes he is my ex and he is so wrong in his decision making. He betrayed me and gave up on us so easily. Now he is getting married to someone who is like the person who was the third person in our marriage. Yes Ruthanna's neice Linda. I can believe it but, it makes me so angry. I knew the whole time in our marriage he wanted me to be like Ruthanna. I just could not do it. Then he threw me away.

I did finally got my dog back, but it comes at a price.. I have to be kind when I write a letter to the church. But, it has nothing to do with kindness, it has to do with honesty. I am sure the church will proceed with the marriage, then I will be sealed to her and him... I hate that thought. I don't want to be part of the Jensen Family... will God take care of me.. I sure hope so.. Because I don't know right now if the priesthood will. Sorr for my feelings but that is where I am right now.

The Snobaybe

Is here at my house, and has kindly told her older sisters that she is going to decorate our page and has actually thought ( tiger will love this!) that perhaps the Disney princesses might be a good theme.

This thrills me because when I was little I loved Princess Aurora best along with Tiger, but I always felt that she should be able to enjoy that love as "hers', but really had no where else to land for a favorite. (I know silly, but if you knew family dynamics you might not think so!) Well Disney came to our rescuse and gave us Belle, which of course was perfect because I had my nose stuck in books for so long it is no wonder I am almost completely blind now!

So we can each have a princess and life is good!

I also told my snobaybe that she better start boucing music choices off of us in here, because Tiger and I love to spread our wings, but don't always know where to head with the new stuff, but hey.. if you need to know a classical piece, if we don't know it something is wrong with the world!

So here is My movie review: My daughter and I went to see The Memoirs of a Geisha and I really liked it. I know at work they talked about the book that was written by some white guy and a movie that was acted by chinese actors, but I don't care. :-)

The story was engrossing, enough for me to want to read the book. And Tiger, remember when we talked about how we both knew that the typical western way of seeing Geisha was wrong, but we didn't know how to put it, especially with you trying to communicate it to Michael? I don't know, you might have gotten it right even before that talk and I missed it, but in case you didn't, the Geisha work to be living breathing works of art. That simple. Now why couldn't I communicate that concept before when I knew it was something along that line? I know we were both of the impression that it could be a life of honor, if even completely a world away from our own.

Anyway for those of you that like a movie where the story and dialogue is the big part, then this will be a movie for you. It can be long for those that don't enjoy that so much, as Marlei felt that way. But hey, on my other blog we have already confirmed that I am indeed a geek or a nerd or something.

We are the Sisters Bourne

Yes this is how we spell our maiden name, it is Bourne, not Bourn, or Born, and we were not Born in a Barn, or Barn in a Born!
I know that was a bit silly, but we can be silly so why not start that way. There are four of us sisters, and we have one brother, I would invite him to post, I probably still will, but then we would have to change the name of the blog. We will have to think about that one won't we.
I'm the 2nd daughter in the family, the 3rd child, right in the middle so to speak. But that was great because it gave me a big sister and a big brother I adored, and two great little sisters.
We have good parents that really try hard to do right with their children, but like most parents aren't completely sure they have done so, but still I know they love us and wish the best for each one of us.
I love to read, but not as much as Noelie. I play the clarinet, and dabble at the piano. I'm one of the family alto's, but I don't have alot of voice training so singing is not my best gift.
I'm married, have 4 great children, you can read about them on my personal blog www.tigersuesjungle.blogspot.com
I thought a site like this would be great after reading other blogs where several people collaborate and comment on the site, about things important to them at the time, and a place where sisters can really support each other when needed. We don't often see each other, even though we live in the same valley. Go figure!
Here we go girls, have fun, and lets get a really great blog going.
Tanya
